In 1987, the Ali Gohar Group entered into a joint
venture agreement with Eli Lilly, USA. As a result, a corporate entity emerged
by the name of Eli Lilly-Gohar (Private) Limited with the Ali Gohar Group as
the majority shareholder.
In the decade that followed, the Eli Lilly-Gohar name established a reliable,
creditable reputation and acquired significant brand equity in the local
market.
The Eli Lilly-Gohar facility includes a Cephalosporin unit exclusively
dedicated to the production of cephalosporins. Stringent measures have been
undertaken to eliminate the possibility of cross contamination. The
air-handling unit of this section is independent of all other areas as is the
personnel entrance. Dry syrup, capsules and dry powder are filled and packed in
the Cephalosporin unit on highly sophisticated machinery.
The product portfolio of Eli Lilly-Gohar continues to grow steadily and benefit
through clearly defined long-term goals and strategies.
